GENEVA (Ina) - The UN High Commissioner for Refugees, said Friday that about 500 migrants and refugees, were on board the fishing boat sailed from Egypt, was rescued by units and monitoring agency of the European Union borders (Frontex) on Thursday.
He said UNHCR spokesman in Geneva , William Spindler that according to the Italian Coastguard, the boat was comprised Syrians and Iraqis, as well as other nationalities, as were rescued 500 migrants others and refugees aboard small boats launched from theLibyan coast. the
spokesman added that it will take down the refugees who were rescued today in four locations different in the south of Italy, explaining that the staff of the UN High Commissioner for refugees ( UNHCR ) will be at these locations to provide assistance and give information to those immigrants and refugees.
