BEIRUT (Ina) - urged US Treasury Secretary for assistant terrorist financing, Daniel Glaser, during a visit to Beirut, the Lebanese authorities on the implementation of the US law on sanctions against Hezbollah, stressing that it targets all members of the party, even his ministers and his deputies.
He visited Glazer, according to a statement released Saturday the US embassy in Beirut, and reported by Agence France - Presse, Lebanon on Thursday and Friday, holding meetings with politicians and bankers series, most notably the Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Tammam Salam and Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil, in addition to the governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon Riad Salameh .
He stressed that the law passed by the US Congress in December 17 and imposes sanctions on banks dealing with Hezbollah or the money laundering in his favor , " is not aimed at Lebanon , but targeting the financial activities of Hezbollah all over the world."
in an interview with the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation television, and in response to a question whether the law applies to MPs and ministers of Hezbollah, Glazer said , " I do not distinguish between members of Hezbollah," he said , " is very clear law, if you are deliberately involved in a significant financial exchange with Hezbollah , which does concern you."
