Half a million deaths from cancer because of the global financial crisis



 PARIS (Ina) - Rising unemployment and cuts budgets in the health field as a result of the global financial crisis in 2008, to the high cancer mortality rate to more than half a million people in the world, according to a study published on Thursday.

According to the doctor Mahebn Marutabo from the Faculty" Imperial College "in London , who led the research, said : " there are globally more than 500 thousand excess deaths from cancer in that period. " 
he added:" the cancer is the leading cause of death in the world, therefore, understand the impact ofeconomic changes on the chances of recovery is critical. " 
In 2012 , cancer - causing the death of 8.2 million people. 
He explained Marutabo:" We have noticed that the high unemployment rate associated with anincreased cancer mortality rate, but the health insurance protects the population from that , particularly in relation to species treatable , such as breast, prostate and colon cancer . "
