Bahrain hosts tomorrow Arab Towns Organization Conference



Manama (Ina) - Bahrain hosts on Sunday (May 29, 2016), the work of the General Conference XVII of the Arab Towns Organization, under the title of "exploring the cities of the future." 
 The agent said the municipal affairs of Bahrain, Nabil Abul Fateh, said that the conference , which isheld every three years in one of the Arab cities is an important event on the Arab level cities, and develop municipal work system. 
He explained that the organization "plays an important role in preserving the Arab identity and heritage, development and renovation of municipal institutions where local, is also working to strengthen theposition of local authorities and raise the level of services and facilities in cities Arab and developing them. " 
 He stressed that" the most important objectives of the conference development and modernization ofmunicipal and local institutions, and work on the development and consolidation of systems andmunicipal legislation, consistent with the requirements of the development of the Arab city, building acommunications network and cooperation with the relevant Arab, regional and international organizations. " 
He pointed out that Permanent Bureau of the organization consists of 37 cities, representing 22 Arab capital , and four permanent members of the cities because of its cultural and historical specificity ,namely: Jerusalem, Medina and Mecca and the city of Morocco 's eyes, and the office includes 11 cities constitute the second city in some countries.
