UAE-based charity distributes meat of 9,000 sacrificial animals among 18,000 families



Dubai, (IINA) - The UAE-based Dar Al-Ber Society (DABS) has distributed the meat of 9,001 sacrificial animals among 18,002 disadvantaged and low-income families in the UAE and abroad, WAM reported.
Of these, 1,925 sacrificial animals were contributed to 3,850 disadvantaged families across the country, and 7,076 among 14,152 to deprived families abroad, according to a top official.
DABS Executive Director Abdullah Ali bin Zayed said the sacrificed animals in the Eid al-Adha this year were given to 108,012 people within the UAE and worldwide. "These included 23,100 locally and 84,912 abroad."
"DABS has distributed Adahi among eligible families abroad in collaboration with over 50 accredited charity entities in 22 countries, including Palestine, Egypt, Sudan, Mauritania, Senegal, Ghana, China, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Ethiopia, Niger, and India."
Paying tributes to philanthropists in the UAE, Bin Zayed prayed to Almighty Allah to always keep the country's people and leaders generous, prosperous, and compassionate.
"DABS, following the shining example of the UAE graceful leadership, spares no effort to extend generosity to people in need wherever they are according to transparent and organized methods via well-trained cadres."
