RIYADH: The supreme sacrifice a soldier can make is to give his life for the sake of his motherland, observed Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman when he went to pay condolences over the demise of a member of the land forces in southern Jazan, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
Corporal Waleed Abdullah Hamid Al-Mozainy was martyred in Jazan while on duty. His body was laid to rest at the Bakiya burial grounds following Janaza prayers at Masjid Al-Nabawi, the Prophet’s Mosque, in Madinah.
Prince Faisal, who visited Abdullah Al-Muzaini, the father of the deceased, and his family on Sunday, said that the martyr’s sacrifice was a great honor for the country since he had laid down his life in defending his nation. He said that he prayed for the dead soul to get Jannah since his contribution was to defend his country.
Thanking the prince and King Salman for the recognition shown toward his son’s sacrifice for the nation, Al-Muzaini hoped and prayed that his son would be rewarded by the Almighty Allah for his services to the motherland.
