RIYADH: Companies meeting the Saudization requirements in letter and spirit will be duly rewarded with incentives under a new system proposed by the Labor Ministry.
The ministry’s “Balanced Nitaqat” proposal aiming to boost Saudization has been displayed on the Ma3an Qarar portal for suggestions and deliberations.
After introducing changes, the ministry will pursue the layout for quality principles to measure the effectiveness of employment keeping in mind the quantitative and qualitative factors.
The modification covers five aspects — Saudization percentage, average wage for Saudis, percentage of women employed, job sustainability and the average of those with high wages. The ministry had earlier announced April 3 as the deadline for receiving feedback for amending the proposal as part of its keenness to share decision-making with stakeholders.
The ministry has called upon stakeholders to review the proposal and comment through the community portal (http://qarar.ma3an.gov.sa) as it is drawing to a close on Sunday.
Ma3an Qarar is one of the Ma3an portal services that goes hand in hand with the government strategy to enhance governance at the Labor Ministry and its affiliates (the Human Resources Development Fund and Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and General Organization for Social Insurance) with the aim of developing their services.
