KFIP winners tour Al-Masmak Museum

RIYADH: The winners of the King Faisal International Prize (KFIP) and their their accompanying family members toured Al-Masmak Palace Museum which displays the history of Saudi unification.
“The KFIP winners, along with their families, paid a visit on Tuesday, and upon their arrival at Al-Masmak Palace, they were received by Museum Director Nasir Al-Eraifi,” said a museum official on Wednesday.
The award winners and their relatives toured different halls of the museum in Riyadh to learn about the rich history of the Kingdom and the efforts of legendary King Abdul Aziz toward the unification of the modern Kingdom.
During their tour of the museum, they listened to a detailed explanation on its importance in the Kingdom’s history in general, and Riyadh’s history in particular.
The various halls of the museum enrich the experience of visitors with exhibits comprising photos and paintings on the history of Riyadh.
Besides seeing museum exhibits and paintings, they also attended a documentary session on the recapture of Riyadh by the legendary King Abdul Aziz.
After its re-development, Al-Masmak Palace has become one of the advanced museum in the Kingdom and a prestigious example of modern museums in terms of museum display techniques.
