RIYADH: An awareness program on cybercrime by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (Haia) at the Al-Khalijiah festival in Buraidah came in for much appreciation from people.
The awareness and guidance department of Haia’s Al-Qassim branch organized the program at the King Khaled Cultural Center during the weekend, when a large number of visitors turn up for the festival.
“The program received an overwhelming response from families and other visitors, especially the youth,” a Haia official said on Tuesday. “The goal and vision to check cybercrime for a peaceful society was the theme of the event.”
Protecting people from falling in the trap of cyber criminals is our priority, the official said. Questions raised by the audience on cybercrime were answered by the experts.
“We responded well to the queries and we will continue to raise awareness against such evils,” the official added.
