DAMMAM: Dhahran Municipality chief Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Qarni has announced that artificial turf has been laid in five areas and playgrounds along the Nisf Al-Qamar beachfront in preparation for the mid-year school holiday.
He said the municipality was working on providing distinctive and upscale services to visitors and families who come to enjoy the beachfront area, and that efforts have been intensified to receive visitors to the area during the upcoming holiday.
He said the municipality has repaired and installed a number of umbrellas and toilets, cleaned the sand and sprayed pesticides, as well as increased the number of cleaners to 100 to serve visitors during the holidays. It also made sure there is no shortage of drinking water.
Al-Qarni also noted the efforts to improve hygiene and cleanliness by providing waste containers along the beachfront area. He said that the service office works constantly to attend to the needs of visitors in both morning and evening hours throughout the week. He called on visitors to cooperate with the municipality by taking good care of the assets and property on the beachfront and maintaining cleanliness for the benefit of all.
Complaints can be made to the 24-hour hotline (940), or via the Balaghati smartphone app provided by the Eastern Province municipality.
