UNRWA: emergency appeal to the Syrian crisis is suffering from a severe lack of funding



BEIRUT (Ina) renewed United Nations Agency for Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) appeal to the international community for funding to help Palestinian refugees in Syria. 
The agency said on its website that the agency 's ability to continue its crucial under threat as the emergency appeal regional Syrian crisis of 2016 is still suffering from a severe lack of funding. 
She noted (UNRWA) that, by the end of June only collected 30% of the required funding.Stressing that the situation is still very difficult for the Palestinian refugees and the Syrian civilians, and armed violence affects large swathes of Syria, where people live in appalling conditions, and in the parts that are not directly affected by armed conflict, it can touch thebroader impact of the war. 
She Agency UN: the violence has led to waves of mass displacement affected 60% of thePalestinian community in Syria, the economy has deteriorated sharply, leading to rampant inflation, high unemployment rate , which is estimated at about 57%, while experienced more than 70% of schools (UNRWA) were either destroyed or damaged. 
the (UNRWA) as providing humanitarian assistance in the form of cash support, food and non - food items as well as to assist in the provision of mass housing, the provision ofessential services such as education for about 45,000 students, and primary health care through 26 health centers the point of health, and a range of services, including physical rehabilitation, and psychosocial support.
