NATO confirms the trend to strengthen cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council



WARSAW (Ina) - A senior official said NATO (NATO) on Saturday (July 9, 2016): The alliance has a desire to strengthen the existing cooperation with the Cooperation Council for theArab Gulf States and its member states. 
The official told reporters on the sidelines of the NATO summit hosted by the Polish capital Warsaw, NATO seeks to achieve " the greatest possible cooperation" with the Gulf Arab countries in the war against terrorism and bring security and stability in the region. 
He pointed out, according to the Kuwait news agency (KUNA) that the alliance will open acenter for Istanbul cooperation initiative in Kuwait soon to strengthen cooperation with theGulf countries. Stressing in this context that "Kuwait has a leadership role is very active in helping us to understand the situation in the region."
