China allocates $ 30 million for "weather modification"



BEIJING (Ina) China has allocated 199 million yuan (29.76 million dollars) to be spent on weather modification program, as part of efforts to combat drought, reducing the impact ofnatural disasters, according to Sky News Arabia's, citing China's Ministry of Finance, on Thursday. 
The Oosaht ministry , it has been allocated additional funding to help the regions in China to deal with the large number of "extreme weather events" this year, including flooding in southern and central regions in addition to the drought in the north - west.              
currently, China is using the seeding technology for weather modification, including theclouds to bring rain during the drought, and reduce snowfall, making clear sky before the big international events, including the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games              in 
China and aims to use the technology of weather modification for the seeding of more than 60 billion cubic meters of additional rain a year by 2020
