Morocco: Launch of the largest suspension bridge in Africa




RABAT (Ina) - inaugurated by King Mohammed VI, on Thursday (July 7, 2016), the largest suspension bridge in Africa and 950 meters long. 
I built this bridge, which cost $ 73 million, the Bouregreg River near Rabat. 
It is characterized by bridge Bength inspired by Islamic civilization Arabic - , especially Berger Almqosjn who symbolize the gates of the cities of Rabat and Sale. 
   requests accomplish this engineering parameter 12 thousand tons of steel and 70 thousand cubic meters of concrete . It is expected that crossed 13 thousand cars a day. 
The Director - General national company for roads car in Morocco, Anwar Benazzouz, that the design ,which was adopted in the construction of this bridge offers many aesthetic and technical and environmental features, and a high level of safety for road users.
