Obama sends troops to Juba to protect the US embassy


WASHINGTON (Ina) - US President Barack Obama announced on Wednesday, sending 47 soldiers to southern Sudan to protect the United States Embassy in Juba and its crew, after violent clashes in the capital of the young nation, which left hundreds dead and tens ofthousands of displaced people, according to news agency reported the press French.  
Obama said in a letter to Congress released by the White House: the American soldiers 47 arrived in Juba Tuesday , and 130 others are currently in Djibouti, are ready to join thecomrades were "where appropriate." 
the United States , which supported the South Sudan independence five years ago, ordered staff non - essential personnel at its embassy in Juba to leave the country and called on thecitizens of this country to exercise caution. 
in his letter to Congress , Obama said that "despite the fact that these additional troops areequipped to fight the AAA they are deployed on a mission to protect US citizens and property.
