Malaysia will not impose visas on citizens of the Middle East



KUALA LUMPUR (Ina) - Prime Minister of Malaysia rejected the proposal of the National Security Council, to impose visas on visitors from the Middle East countries to enter Malaysia. 
The Minister of Tourism and Culture Mohammad my Abdulaziz to the news agency "Bernama" Malaysian Thursday: The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting , was theresult overall for their discussions, including those related to relations Malaysia bilateral with the Middle East. 
he explained that terrorist groups threats can be overcome through security measures, though the checks while entering this country should be tightened, because the threats come from several directions, not from the area Middle East only. 
the secretary general of the national Security Council Ilyas Ahmed has suggested to thegovernment to impose visas on visitors from the Middle East, for the reduction of armed terrorists threats. 
in the view of the Minister of Tourism and culture, that the imposition of visas that may affect the quality of Malaysia 's relations with the Middle East countries, who are also members ofthe Organization of Islamic cooperation. 
he said that until this moment terrorist threats did not affect the influx of tourists to Malaysia.
