Five years of conflict in Syria – share your stories and experiences

Following a wave of pro-democracy protests in March 2011, Syria imploded into a brutal and complex war. In the ensuing violence, hundreds of thousands of people have died and millions have fled.
As the conflict in Syria enters its sixth year, we’d like to hear from those directly affected by the conflict, and from those involved in the humanitarian response. Whether you have stayed in Syria, or have been forced from your home; whether you’re providing humanitarian assistance near the front lines of the conflict or are working to relocate refugees outside the country, we’d like to hear from you. Tell us about how you’re involved, about your reflections and experiences, and how the situation has changed over the last five years of the conflict.
You can share your stories and experiences by clicking on the blue ‘Contribute’ button on this article, or by using the form below. You can also use theGuardianWitness or the Guardian app and search for ‘GuardianWitness assignments’. Or you can email guardianwitness@theguardian.com.
