RIYADH: Following directives from Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the medical evacuation from the US of Ibtehal Abu Jabal, a brain dead student, has been approved.
Ibtehal had anemia, which required her to be moved to a hospital. But her condition worsened leading to brain death.
Amal Abu Jabal, sister of the student, said that her medical evacuation was approved on Friday. She will be transported back home on the same plane that will carry Basma Al-Anzi, who had a similar problem last week, reported Al-Riyadh newspaper. Amal said that the government paid the hospital costs.
