"UNICEF" provides food supplies to the children of "Daria," the Syrian



GENEVA (Ina) - The United Nations Children's Fund "UNICEF", on Friday, they provided food supplies for children and pregnant and lactating women in the Syrian city of "Daria" Rural Damascus. 
A spokesman for the "UNICEF", Christophe Bulirak, at a news conference at United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, said that the aid entered the city , "Daria" earlier this month in the framework of the United Nations convoy shared with other relief organizations for the first time in four years ,"according to the Kuwaiti news agency. 
He added that" this aid is the eighth of the organization, as it was preceded by the introduction of seven humanitarian convoys to round up or inaccessible areas, and included medicines health supplies, vaccines and food supplies, clothes and tools to help on education and children 's entertainment ,benefiting 52,700 people, including 40,410 children. "

He appealed to Bulirak all parties to the conflict to grant (UNICEF) and its partners the right to " permanent and unqualified and unimpeded access "to all those in need, criticizing at the same time , " the use of water as a weapon of war in Aleppo, where been cut water supply deliberately in the 27 of last May by preventing the fuel needed to run the pumping stations and the banning of more than two million people of a fundamental right as drinking water. " 
He pointed to the" UNICEF "with its partners to meet the needs of those affected by the installation and operation of the 100 groundwater wells and 28 The new unit to deal with the water to provide drinking water from the river , "Koiq" transit to the province of Aleppo in northern Syria.
