Memorandum of Understanding between Sudan and the United Nations to combat extremism and terrorism

KHARTOUM (Ina) - represented by the Ministry of Guidance and Endowments Sudanese government signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding with the United Nations Development Programme for cooperation and coordination on the fight against extremism and "terrorism" efforts. 
The MoU was signed by the Minister of Guidance Sudanese government and endowments Ammar al- Mirghani and the United Nations Resident Representative of the UN United ,Sudan and the United Nations Coordinator for humanitarian Affairs Marta Ruedas. 
the minister said Mirghani in a press statement , "the memorandum of understanding with the United Nations Development Programme is part of the ministry 's efforts to combat thephenomena of extremism and terrorism and risk reduction." 
he stressed the need for concerted efforts to combat "terrorism" and extremism and counter manifestations and forms of all , pointing out that "the Sudanese rooted in them morality, tolerance and observe literature dispute." The 
Sudanese minister expressed the importance of converting a memorandum ofunderstanding with the United Nations Programme of action directly pointing to the need toseek to change the distorted picture painted by terrorism to Islam and other religions. 
for her part , said resident Representative United Nations Sudan Ruedas that thememorandum of understanding included a United Nations plan to fight terrorism and extremism. 
She called to do studies to identify the magnitude of the phenomenon and organizing workshops to address vulnerable to extremism and "terrorism" to find out the root of theproblem and make the necessary interventions in cooperation with the relevant governmental bodies.
