RIYADH: The projects of Saudi students at the Technical Trainers College (TTC) is being showcased at the German pavilion in the 30th Janadriyah Festival.
With the slogan “Welcome to Your Future”, the TTC is participating in the festival with Germany being the guest of honor.
“The goal of the TTC is to nurture and cultivate the unique qualities of each Saudi student,” said TTC’s Dean Prof. Dr. Werner J. Stueber.
He said that the students’ several projects being highlighted at the festival include an Intelligent Autonomous Robot and a Meteorology Station.
He suggested that prospective students can try out the training equipment taken from TTC’s workshops such as an automotive injection training board or computer-aided manufacturing (CAM).
“Presently, we are enhancing our portfolio to underpin our role as the key college or hub associated with applied vocational, technical and business education and training at a university level in the region,” he said.
Stueber said, “Our goal is to assist Saudi Arabia in its labor market policies and endeavors to foster employment opportunities in applied fields.
“The students are guided by dedicated lecturers until they complete their studies that lead to an internationally-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology.
“The TTC in the Saudi capital aims to prepare talented Saudi students for professional teaching, engineering and business careers by creating a student-centered learning environment.
“The TTC, which is now in its seventh year of operation in Riyadh, is a university college run by GIZ International Services.”
