Abyan (IINA) - Thousands of residents of Al-Mahfad city and surrounding villages in the southern Yemeni province of Abyan have received 5,000 food packages from the Emirates Red Crescent, WAM reported.
A convoy run by the UAE humanitarian agency carried 5,000 food packages to the beneficiaries in the impoverished areas.
The beneficiaries thanked the government and people of the UAE for the assistance which they described as a timely relief amid the worsening economic situation across the country.
The city officials expressed appreciation of the Emirates Red Crescent team's relief efforts.
