Attempts to smuggle 6 tons of hashish into Saudi Arabia thwarted



Jeddah  – The Saudi security authorities have managed to foil a number of attempts to smuggle many contraband items into Saudi Arabia since the beginning of August 2016 until now, Saudi Press Agency reported.
This was announced by the security spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, who explained that the most notable attempt of smuggling illicit items into Saudi territories was an attempt to smuggle six tons of hashish.
Among drugs seized with smugglers were two millions of amphetamine pills, more than 131,000 tablets subject to regulation of international medical trade, and more than 11 kilograms of cocaine, in addition to more than four kg of raw shabu narcotic and 693 tons of khat.
