Mina (IINA) – The Saudi Ministry of Health has prepared, within its campaign for health awareness during this year’s Hajj season, a mobile health awareness team roaming the holy sites, to provide health tips and guidelines to pilgrims in their tents, and how to deal in the event of any health problems.
As part of its activities of health awareness campaign launched under the theme of “Together for a Healthy Pilgrimage", the ministry has put up murals and banners on the state hospitals at the holy sites, including awareness tips and health guidelines to pilgrims in various topics, in an endeavor to promote healthy behaviors among them. This will contribute to raising health awareness among the Guests of Allah and urging them to interact with the campaign activities.
The Ministry of Health has also completed its arrangements to hold educational lectures for the medical missions accompanying the Hajj campaigns, with a view to contribute to promoting the health awareness among pilgrims and commitment to apply the health requirements set by the ministry.
It is worth mentioning that the health awareness campaign, launched by the Ministry of Heath, aims at promoting health awareness among pilgrims on the main health requirements during this year’s Hajj season. "Together for a Healthy Pilgrimage" campaign also focuses on a number of topics, including yellow fever, meningococcal meningitis, poliomyelitis and vaccination against seasonal flu, as well as modifying some health misconceptions among pilgrims while performing Hajj rituals.
