Jeddah (IINA) – The Saudi Ministry of Interior on Saturday said that a security patrol which was carrying out a routine function in Khodariya District in the Eastern Province city of Dammam came under fire from an unknown source, resulting in the martyrdom of two policemen.
Spokesman for the ministry said that the shooting, which resulted in the martyrdom of Chief Sergeant Musa Ali Mohamed Alqbi and fellow soldier Nawaf Mahmas Al-Otaibi, occurred late on Saturday night during a routine police patrol.
The competent security authorities have launched criminal investigation on the terrorist crime, which is still under security monitoring and investigation procedures.
