NEW YORK (Ina) - The United Nations strongly condemned the terrorist bombings that took place Thursday (June 9, 2016), in the New Baghdad district of the Iraqi capital , the Taji area north of the city, killing and wounding many people.
He was the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq Jan Kubis expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished the wounded a speedy recovery, stressing that those horrific bombings perpetrated during the holy month of Ramadan not aimed atinflicting the largest number of civilian casualties , but is seeking to weaken the unity of the country and the destruction of the social fabric.
He stressed the Special Representative of the need not to allow to terrorists "Daash" to achieve their goals as must all Iraqis of all affiliations and backgrounds stand as one to condemn these cowardly acts.
