GENEVA (Ina) - The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) reported on Friday (June 17, 2016), that more than 73 thousand people will benefit from the humanitarian aid convoy which entered Thursday evening to the forest , in the countryside of Homs , central Syria.
He said media spokesman spokesman (OCHA) , Jens Lerch at a press conference of the European Headquarters of the United Nations that the convoy is the first since the third of March , "was followed by a second if the Syrian government has agreed."
He added that the caravan include food and medical aid and supplements for nutrition, water purification and improved sanitation. He
also pointed that the Syrian Arab Crescent in collaboration with the United Nations may also succeeded Thursday in introducing aid to 50 thousand people in some of the province of Aleppo villages in northern Syria , while stalled the arrival of a convoy to (Kafr intimal) Rural Damascus because of "logistical complications."
