Report: ASEAN leaders stress the importance of integration rather than economic and investment competition among member states

KUALA LUMPUR (Ina) stressed the Association of Southeast Asian Nations leaders (ASEAN) on the importance of integration rather than economic competition and investment is balanced between the Member States, during the opening session entitled ( the formation of the agenda of ASEAN toward inclusiveness and growth) within the agenda of the World Economic Forum on ASEAN, hosted by the Malaysian capital Kowalalamboraly over two days starting from today .
raised Cambodia 's Prime Minister Hun Sen at the opening session the issue of economic and investment competition among ASEAN member countries. Explaining that "this competition, especially in attracting foreign investment is one of the biggest challenges faced by the Association." He called for "coordination of operations attract investment to ensure unity among member states." 
According to Sen, that his country is seeking to work with ASEAN to reduce competition among nations fact. He is pointing out that the annual economic growth in Cambodia , which recently recorded at 7.7 percent , was the support of the ASEAN countries. Pointing at thesame time the importance of harnessing modern technology to bring about greater integration in the economic and investment spheres .
In another context , stressed that his country "strives to reduce poverty rates, which reduce the level of poverty by 1 percent per year, but the multiplicity of natural disasters afflicting the country makes it easy to drop those above the poverty line to below the poverty line to alack of resources. " 
for his part , Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak urged Member States to strengthen integration and raise the bilateral trade ratio to 30 percent over the next 5 years, pointing outthat his country put this target within its plans to support the CIS countries where there aremore than 1,500 Malaysian companies operating in various ASEAN countries. 
he noted that "ASEAN is an investment and an attractive destination for foreign and local investors, and helped by the peace security and stability in the region. he added:" China is the largest trading partner of ASEAN and private investment in infrastructure with other partners such as the United States, Russia, India, Australia, new Zealand, Japan, Canada and the European Union. " 
He called Najib leaders of ASEAN countries to take appropriate steps to achieve theobjectives of the Association, especially in harnessing the fourth industrial revolution , or modern technology in the economies of the countries development. Pointing to the role ofyoung people , who represent 65 percent of the population of the ASEAN and prepare them to be pioneers and the men of the future work .
He stressed the importance of speeding up the signing of mutual recognition between theASEAN countries, which covers aspects of professional and skilled labor exchange agreement, as well as speed up the signing of the adoption of a university degree Convention and speed up work on the formation of the authority that transcends national boundaries, and make greater efforts to promote economic reforms and economic liberalization, and also solve the problem of social inequality and improve the level of income and wealth distribution .
for his part , Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla noted that the states and large companies is to create competition among ASEAN countries because they are looking for manufacturing and cheap labor to produce and sell their products to international markets, which would result in the creation of competition is not balanced between the ASEAN countries with a total neglect of the issue of integration .
Kalla asked , "How can we overcome poverty levels whether states and large corporations looking for cheap labor for low wages." Calling on those companies and countries to the"Association to support ASEAN to stop the creation of this competition , which could harm the established objectives of the Association." He 
also called on ASEAN to develop the means to communicate among themselves and unite some of the economic and educational standards, in addition to encouraging medium - sized companies to contribute effectively to the economic development as well as interest inagricultural, industrial and service sectors to attract more investment in the region is stable and secure .
in the same context , stressed the Vietnamese Vice President Tren religious Dong on theimportance of strengthening the integration between the ASEAN countries, especially in attracting foreign investment. He is saying that although the economic competition and investment is a major challenge for Member States , however , there are other aspects to strengthen the integration of ASEAN .
Dong Turning to the continuation of the reform measures in his country. Explaining that they need to develop the infrastructure, especially in transportation, restructure the economy and reform financial institutions , investment and economic climate and to improve, as well as to modernize the education system to meet the economic needs of the community .
It is noteworthy that about 600 personal political and economic than 40 countries will discuss during the World Economic Forum on the (ASEAN ) several axes, a general picture of the economies of ASEAN and reshape the economy of ASEAN through digital creativity, and take advantage of the infrastructure experiences in ASEAN economic transformation between China and ASEAN, and competing economic reality in Asia and the issues of labor and employment opportunities in ASEAN and the future of the unity and strength of ASEAN under multiple identities .
