Kuwait reaffirms its commitment to the terms of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities



NEW YORK (Ina) - Kuwait confirmed Wednesday (June 15, 2016), its full commitment to the terms of theInternational Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and to continue efforts to promote those rights and integrate them into the overall society to achieve the goals of sustainable development within the framework of the vision of Kuwait by 2035 , about the rights of persons with disabilities. 
Came in a statement delivered by Head of delegation of the State of Kuwait and a member of theSupreme Council of the public Authority for Refugees with disabilities Rehab Boresly before the ninth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities , which kicked off at the United Nations headquarters yesterday Tuesday. 
she Boresly the State of Kuwait , represented by the public Authority for persons with disabilities began adopting sustainable development goals and related to the field of disability, proclaimed by the United Nations in September last year in the health and well - being and quality education , decent work andeconomic growth in partnership community exchanged between the different sectors of government and civil society organizations and the private sector areas. 
It added that Kuwait is seeking to establishing the principle of equality and non - discrimination in all social, political, civil and economic rights for the promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities in general and with intellectual disabilities specifically. 
She Boresly that in a gesture unprecedented internationally Kuwaiti parliament receives persons with disabilities on the parliamentary seats annually over 11 year to discuss their cases and follow - up activation of the terms of the international Convention your own affairs and national law.
