I read with interest the report “UK lawmakers debate banning Trump” (Jan. 19). I think that leaders across the world should join hands against bigots like Donald Trump. Such politicians are not only harmful to the world but also prove to be very dangerous to the people they wish to represent.
Americans are a different people. People like Trump cannot be considered the true representatives of Americans and America. Trump owes his popularity to the mainstream American media. We all are aware of the power of today’s media. Students of media studies must be aware of a term called “agenda setting.” I would like those reading these lines to google this term to better understand the dynamics of global politics. It would not take long to figure out the current happenings across the world.
