No matter which side is responsible, the downing of the Russian planeover the southernmost part of the Turkish border will only complicate further the already complex picture of the conflict in Syria. And, regardless of what shape this crisis will take, it increases the pressure on the two main “playmakers” who define the rules of engagement, be that militarily or diplomatically: the US and Russia.
