At least 32 Islamic State fighters have been killed and another 40 wounded in a series of airstrikes on bases around its de-facto capital Raqqa, activists have said.
Rami Abdurrahman, the head of the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, reportedly said there were about 15 strikes on the northern Syrian city on Sunday.
But there were conflicting reports on who carried them out. The observatory said the US-led coalition was responsible, while other activists said Russian jets bombed the city.
The strikes targeted Isis headquarters and bases to the north, east and south-east of Raqqa. Abdurrahman said the casualty figures would probably rise because they were based on reports from just one hospital.
