Australia’s immigration minister, Peter Dutton, defends his government’s
treatment of a Somali refugee who says she became pregnant after being
raped on the Pacific island nation of Nauru, home to an Australian-run
detention centre. Speaking on Monday in Canberra, Dutton denied that the
23-year-old woman was not given access to doctors or an interpreter
after she was flown to Australia for an abortion, which he claims she
then declined
