Turkish official: 350 million people facing humanitarian crises annually





Istanbul (Ina) - A spokesman for the Turkish presidency of Abraham Qaln: "About 350 million people facing humanitarian crises around the world each year, for several reasons, including conflicts, natural disasters, and other problems caused by humans." 
This came in a press conference jointly held by Turkish official with herve Verhoosel, spokesman for the "World Summit for humanitarian work , " the aim of introducing thesummit of  global humanitarian  hosted by Istanbul on Monday and will last for two days. 
He stressed Qaln, that " the summit is of great importance, because it will address many of the humanitarian crises on top levels with the participation of heads of states and governments under the flag of the United Nations Organization. " 
He added:" the summit will be held for the first time in Turkey to discuss all the humanitarian aid system dimensions where will participate representatives of international organizations, the private sector and civil society organizations, along with representatives of affected communities of those crises ranging from Kenya to Somalia through to Syria, that thesummit would be, for them, as a platform for the transfer of their suffering to the heads ofstates, governments and institutions. " 
He continued:" the summit will be the beginning of a new chapter in the issue ofhumanitarian aid system. " Noting: " The issues to be discussed will not be limited to the top frame only, but governments will implement the commitments to be provided within the framework of its national policy." 
Among Qaln, that " the current humanitarian aid system, is facing difficulties, in the presence of crises in many regions of the world , such as Syria, Somalia, Myanmar, Palestine, and many African countries, and Afghanistan. " Stressing that 80% of those caused by armed conflicts and crises. 
He stressed the importance of taking necessary to prevent such crises measures, and work to minimize the impact. 
He stated that " the international assistance provided to Turkey to face limited refugee crisis, which has now reached nearly 500 million dollars, while spent Ankara alone on Syrian refugees $ 10 billion. " 
for his part , said the official spokesman for the summit, Verhoosel, that" the world is facing the worst humanitarian crisis after world war II , "adding that the timing of the summit was " very appropriate. " 
He stressed Verhoosel the need for humanitarian support restructuring efforts, and that theworld has not seen in the past 130 million people need humanitarian assistance. Stressing the need to think about how to provide aid more effectively, and what is the responsibility ofstates, international organizations, the private sector, and financiers in this regard. 
It is expected to attend the summit organized by the United Nations for the first time, in theTurkish city of Istanbul, on 23 and May 24 / Aiyar of this, 70 of the heads of State and government, and more than 6 thousand of officials and representatives of international bodies, and civil society organizations and the media
